A field trip to our farm is more than a day away from the classroom — it’s an immersive, hands-on agricultural learning experience students will remember for years to come. Our guided visits are designed to be educational, interactive, and fun, while helping students better understand animals, farming, and where their food and fiber come from.
Students get the rare opportunity to see real reindeer up close. Depending on the season, they may observe baby calves, reindeer growing antlers in velvet, and herd behavior. We share age-appropriate lessons about reindeer biology, seasonal changes, nutrition, and daily care.
Field trip groups also meet our other farm animals and learn how each species is raised and cared for. Students are introduced to the responsibilities of livestock ownership and the step-by-step process farmers follow to ensure animal health, proper nutrition, safe housing, and humane handling.
Our program connects directly to science and agriculture topics, including:
Visits include guided talks, observation opportunities, and select hands-on experiences that keep students engaged and curious. There are plenty of chances for questions, discussion, and memorable photo moments.
Groups are welcome to bring their own lunches and enjoy a relaxed break in our event building. This gives students time to recharge, visit with friends, and continue enjoying the farm atmosphere during their trip.
Field trips take place rain or shine. Our farm experience includes covered and indoor areas, allowing groups to learn and explore comfortably in a variety of weather conditions. We recommend dressing for the forecast and wearing farm-friendly shoes.
Field trips are offered at a discounted rate of $$10 per person with a MINIMUM of 20 attendees per scheduled tour. No Maximum
Additional siblings and parents can also participate in the fun for $10/person
(Required teachers/aides are free)
